Beautiful French cities of : Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille, Nice, Limoge, Rennes, Rouen, Blois, Bourges, Beaune, Lake Annecy, Grenoble, Epernay, Aix-en-Provence and many more are just as stunning in the winter as any other time of the year.
Imagine sipping a warm cup of coffee and biting into a slice of heaven, Galette des Rois (only available in January)while watching the French live their winter life with so few tourist!
Winter is the time for Truffles (black mushrooms found by pigs and their owners), markets filled with warm beautiful bread, eating frog legs (in season), Pot au feu, Skiing the Alps, museums void of tourists, winter festivals, and JANUARY sales that makes every shopper’s pocket and heart happy!!!
If you have a chance to go to France during the winter go, you will save on flights, hotels, food, and shopping. I love my winter experiences, been doing it since 2017, .
My favorite winter memory?
- Eating Frog legs at the Lake Annecy’ Saturdday merket, it was superb and I shall cherish if forever.
- Organic market shopping in Paris 17th – Batinoglles and purchasing Truffles to make scrambled eggs. Paris is always a good idea!
